Introduction
A stunning villa set on the hills of Lake Garda, featuring a full lake view and a remarkable panoramic terrace. Originally, the terrace was accessible only via an internal staircase, which limited its use and accessibility.
The property decided to redefine the access, with the aim of making the terrace directly usable by guests and visitors. A direct external connection from the swimming pool at ground level was therefore introduced, allowing a new way of experiencing the space that would not have been possible through the internal access alone.
Design
The client explicitly requested that the staircase be integrated with the surrounding garden, in harmony with the highly modern design of the house. The presence of a beautiful swimming pool at ground level reinforced the desire to create an intervention that would develop in continuity with the outdoor space, avoiding invasive or unrelated solutions.
The design of the staircase was therefore conceived as an element growing from the garden up to the terrace, evoking the idea of plants naturally climbing along the architecture. To meet these requirements, stainless steel was selected, a material particularly suited for fully outdoor use, ensuring durability and long-term performance without compromise.

The forging of stainless steel involves particularly complex characteristics, as the material cools very rapidly, making the process more demanding compared to other metals. This requires precise control during forging and a high level of craftsmanship.
At the end of each operation, a careful restoration of the stainless properties is essential to preserve the chemical characteristics of the material. Only through this process can stainless steel maintain its ability to resist oxidation and ensure long-term durability in an outdoor environment.

The treads are crafted in aluminium, a lightweight material that prevents the structure from becoming visually or structurally heavy. The teak finish completes the design, introducing a natural surface that provides a soft and comfortable walking experience, balancing technical performance with tactile quality.
